A Golden Age For All Mankind

Description

Calling all 90s kids! And adults, I guess, we're all inclusive here!

Do you happen to remember a little treasure called "Exosquad"? Cartoon and toyline? What a great series, am I right? XD The story of a space-pioneering humanity having it's chickens come home to roost in the form of a slave race rebellion, with robot suits and blue men and all sorts of intrigue and fun. : 3

Well, all that said, this week was the birthday of the man behind the series. As such, I drew him a picture! Pilots Nara Burns and Marsala, the completely platonic big brother/little sister duo of the series. They went through a lot together and luckily (spoilers for a 20 year old cartoon here! XD ) made it through the war largely unscathed (the same can't be said for Nara's brother, who slowly became a cyborg and DIED before things wrapped up. <X D )

Ah, the 90s.

the intro theme song basically tells you the whole story, if you're still like "whaaaaa":

"It was a golden age for all mankind.
Using the incredible exo-skeletons called 'E-frames',
we had successfully terraformed Venus and Mars
and were poised to move on to the outter planets.

Suddenly, it all ended.
We were pressed into a nightmarish war on a scale previously unimagined.
We were attacked by own creations - the Neo Sapiens - a race of artificially created humans.
Led by Phaeton, they have seized control of Venus, Earth and Mars.

This is lieutenant JT Marsh, member of the Exofleet,
leader of a small band of E-frame pilots dedicated to freeing humanity from Neo Sapien rule.
We are the Exosquad."

So, thanks for lookin'!

Now let's get back to some Remnant arts, eh? ; 3
