The Remnant: Bookworm

Description

Reading is fundamental!

Marion Page enjoying a wild night out at the library! They had a penmanship class in the Scriptorium and the tragic fictions vault just finished it's renovation! Spoilers: Everyone is dead! : D

Being particularly average has left Marion with few skills in a world gone mad - she can't fight and lacks survival skills outside a palace setting. This would certainly stress out anyone... luckily she still has her passion for books! Hopefully they never turn on her, like that "Pagemaster" movie. I think that's what happened in that movie. If not, it should have.

This one holds a winding, serpentine blend of credits. I drew it, :iconshabazik: inked it, greyscaled it, shaded it then I colored it. So, I think this means we're married. I don't know.

I love you, Marion!

(she's going to be sad when she finds out what happened to those books, though... DON'T CRY MARION I have lots of books! Look, here is my old copy of ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S MONSTER MUSEUM!)

and so I read her THE DESRICK ON YANDRO, a tale of John the Balladeer and his silver-stringed guitar, beginning with

I'll build me a desrick on Yandro's high hill,
Where the wild beasts can't reach me or hear my sad cry,
For he's gone, he's gone away, to stay a little while,
But he'll come back if he comes ten thousand miles.

(It's one of the best stories in the world, and you can read it here baen.ghostwheel.com/Baen3/John… )

(Don't cry, little Marion! The Toller, the Bammat and the Flat are your friends, and you can turn to the beginning of the story and read about trhem again!)

(In a nostalgic mood. Sorry, Tom..,.,)
