Deviantart: Thankless

This is just something crummy I slapped together. Don't judge too harshly. ; D

So, for a long time, I've noticed a trend on dA. People 'favorite' art by a much higher margin than they comment. Typically, when you go to check out these people's galleries (to see if you share some interests or just to voice your gratitude) you find they 'faved' EVERYTHING on the new submissions page, or a group gallery, or what have you. This tactic always astounds me - is it to get people to look at their often non-existent art? Are they collectors of EVERY form of art out there? Or are they just rabid and can't stop clicking that little yellow star?

Either way, it's kind of deflating when you think someone liked your drawing and it ends up they didn't really care at all - they were just on a fave frenzy and you happened to get in the way. XD

SPECIAL EDIT:

This is NOT in regard to everyone who 'faves' and doesn't comment! It's not like that at all.

It's about people who seemingly have no interest in what they're 'faving', going on mass-fave-clicking sprees and never once looking at what it is.

I do NOT mean to antagonize my people with any perceived passive-aggressive slight. My people are the best. I would NEVER! v___v
